Let’s look back at some of the company’s 2022 highlights
In the next few days, 2022 will come to an end, a year in which we experienced wonderful moments as a company. We welcomed more than 170 new talents to our work team, we witnessed several awards from which we emerged triumphant with recognitions and awards that put the name of our company on a high level, both nationally and internationally.
We know that technology advances rapidly and we must adapt ourselves effectively to the changes and demands that arise from day to day. As Quipux, we have been able to read, interpret and solve the challenges, constantly evolving to contribute to more agile and intelligent cities, with the help of each of the team members who contribute to business growth and for which we have stood out from other companies.
As proof of this, let us recall the most recent recognition we obtained along with the Federación Colombiana de Municipios, at the Ingenio 2022 Awards, which took place on December 6 in the city of Bogotá, where we were awarded in the category of Success Cases 2022 in the Government sector, for the Simit digital services platform. In addition to this award, we cannot forget the development of the Simit App, which due to its development, ease and usability with citizens, we have obtained good comments from people from all over the country that can be viewed in download stores such as IOS and Android.
We were also present abroad, precisely in the Asian continent (Seoul to be more precise), where our CBDO Juan Pablo Ramírez represented us at the Korea-LAC Business Summit, where we were recognized as the Best Startup and highlighted for our presentation of the high impact of technological solutions in the segment of smart and sustainable cities in Latin America, in the pitching session on Smart Cities and Sustainability.
We should also remember that in the same month, we won one of the five places awarded by Ruta N, together with the Cámara de Comercio de España, to travel to the Iberian country for an International Mission to the business network, where we were represented by Isaías Lans, our Director of the R+D+i cell. This tour lasted 7 days and involved around 12 visits, with the purpose of getting to know different R&D Departments of business units, technology development centers, technology parks, universities and CTi agencies, learning how to transform technological developments into adaptable businesses that go from research to market application.
This incredible area also contributed greatly to business growth this year, with the publication of articles in international journals such as: PLOS ONE and Public Management Review with their articles “Factors influencing citizens’ adoption of e-Government: An empirical validation in a Developing Latin American Country” and “Government influence on e-Government adoption by citizens in Colombia: Empirical evidence in a Latin American context”.
We invite you to read the full articles, here:
In this articles we learn more about: “Optimization in the provision of government services through the use of ICT”. Their focus in this area of research is the development of models and the application of information and communication technologies to modernize and optimize the interaction between government entities, companies in the sector, and citizens.
On the other hand, we cannot forget the important moments that we live internally in our company such as certifications, which in order to remain at the forefront of the business, we train some team members to regulate internal standards, for us to continue being outstanding in the software industry. Along with this, we have appraisals such as CMMI, which is the best practices model that helps improve the performance of key business processes, and in our case, the software development life cycle and cross-cutting processes that help it to be better.
In the same way that we care about the processes and the good development of the software we present to governments, we also care about the welfare and growth of our team.
We were highlighted in the People First contest for our well-defined short- and long-term plan, with a concrete social focus and assertive and coherent communication, which seeks to provide study and employment opportunities to students from public schools in Medellín. The social impact and good results of our program allow us to proudly carry the People First seal.
As the last internal event of our company, let’s not forget the EpiQ.Lab, three days of co-creation full of learning and important ideas to evolve our portfolio. We were accompanied by experts in the field of innovation, who with their knowledge, contributions and explanations, guided the ideas of the participating teams, so that they could flourish and finally be known by the jurors of the event and the company in general, which resulted in three wonderful projects and completely applicable to the day to day of our brand.
We would like to thank each and every one of our hard-working talents, who contributed in a great way so that our company could stand out in the different national and international awards. Thank you for being attentive to each process, so that it would go in the best way, obtaining unique results. Thank you for contributing the best of your talent to achieve our recognition as a company.
We bid farewell to a year that was full of successes and are eager to begin another one in which the opportunities are endless.
